Thank you Horniman Museum for this Dulcimer!

Thank you to the Horniman Museum for this handsome, robust and resonant Hammer Dulcimer that has been presented to JOS for use (after repair), at our Inclusive Participatory Community Music sessions. The instrument has served several years of enthusiastic use in the Handling Room of the New Music Gallery where it obviously gained considerable play and no doubt gave great delight to many visitors.
After repairs have been achieved the instrument will be fitted with an adjustable presentation stand that will make it accessible to wheelchair users. It will then be perfectly fitting for use with JOS players of all ages and ability and will add fresh and vital sound to JOS’ inclusive multi-instrumental and vocal soundscapes.
We are currently looking for a hammer dulcimer maker/repairer who might be able to replace the instruments metal bridge-rods and undertake repairs to the bridges?
