Locations

We currently running regular weekly session at 3 different locations:

Saint Barnabas, Homerton, E9 6DL

Date: Tuesdays 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Salvation Army, Portobello Rd, W11 1LU

Date: Thursdays 10:30 am – 11:30 am

St. Peter’s Heritage Ctr,Vauxhall SE11 5HS

Date: Fridays 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

JOS can also provide workshops in any location: If you would like to discuss potential workshop delivery please contact us.

Participants should attempt to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance for all sessions, although it is appreciated that this is not always possible and late comers are always welcome. Suggested participant donation is £5 per session.

Accessibility: Wheelchair access and inclusive toilet facility available in-situ.

All JOS sessions are inclusive and involve the proactive commitment of PA’s and Carers unless otherwise agreed by prior arrangement with JOS facilitators.

    Please confirm if you will attend and when, so that refreshments can be calculated. Invite your friends and any folk whom you feel might enjoy such inclusive exploratory approaches. We are looking to record as much acoustic material as possible including, ambient soundscapes, group-work in the round, singular and group instrumental, chorus, horns, strings, tuned percussion, piano, (possible church organ) flutes, birdsong, chant, clapping, didgeridoo’s and throat-sung cosmophonics! Inclusive Volunteering

JOS volunteer team is open to people of all abilities and encourages anyone who wishes to develop new practical and experiential skills to join us. Volunteer duties include the undertaking of various tasks in support of workshop set up, delivery and management. Commitment and duties are person centred and tailored to individual preferences and needs.

Donations

Any Old Instruments or Equipment? We are always on the lookout for instruments – perhaps you have an old guitar or fiddle stored in an attic or garage? If so, please contact us – any type, age or condition considered! To maintain JOS project activities  we are looking for musical  instruments, of any kind new or old, in any condition. Also, any music related items such as scores, accessories, strings,bows and cases, recordings etc.  Whatever you have to offer, JOS will put it to good use towards the continuation and development of our activities.
